The world has several geopolitical changes but the India-Russia friendship remained unchanged PM Narendra Modi said that at the 21st annual India-Russia summit with president Vladimir Putin.
The two sides not only cooperated with each other but also paid special attention to the sensitivities of each other, "PM said, the two countries held the first 2+2 ministerial meeting, where Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said India had faced unprovoked aggression on its northern borders for more than a year.
At 2+2 summit, India Russia sign 4 deals
India signed 4-aggreement with Russia at the first 2+2 meeting between the foreign and defence minister of the two countries.
Until now, India has held a 2+2 format of meeting with member nations of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue( QUAD) US, JAPAN and AUSTRALIA.
Meeting of minister was held on the sidelines of Russia president Vladimir Putin's visit to New Delhi for a summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence minister Rajnath Singh met his Russia n counterpart Sergey Shoigu and the two sides signed two contracts for the manufacturer of nearly 600,000 AK-203.
Apart from the agreement for the Kalashnikov rifles, the two countries also signed an agreement for military technology cooperation for the next decades, from 2021-2031 and the protocol of the 20th India-Russia Inter Governmental Commission on military military Technical Cooperation. Rajnath Singh said " The pandemic " , the extra ordinary militarisation and expansion of armament in our neighborhood and the completely unprovoked agression on our northern border since early summer of 2020 have thrown in several challenges..
